ALbacore fishing Trip
(Typically August Through October)

Call or Email to Join our Tuna List!

When the Albacore arrive back to California from their annual migration across the Pacific Ocean, we will email the tuna list some available dates and pricing based on weather, ocean conditions and location of the fish. At that point trips will be book on a first come, first serve basis.  Trips will be offered out of Bodega Bay or Fort Bragg.  Commonly out of Bodega Bay, we will venture 35 to 75 miles northwest from the harbor so expect long days upward of 12 to 14 hours.  While Fort Bragg tends to have the warmer currents closer to shore and is usually 15 to 45 miles of travel to the fishing grounds and will result in a day closer to 12 hours depending on the fishing.

bluefin tuna fishing Trip
(Typically August Through november)

Call or Email to Join our Tuna List!

Once the Bluefin arrive from their migration from Northern Baja, we will email everyone on the tuna list some available dates and pricing based on weather, ocean conditions and location of the fish in similar fashion as our Albacore trips.  At that point, trips will be booked on a first come, first serve basis as well.   Early in the season we often drive southwest of Bodega Bay up to 75 miles in search of Bluefin schools scattered west the Farallon islands and the central California seamounts. Those days will be longer and 14 hours of time on the boat can be expected.  Later in the season closer to November, Bluefin typically collect near Cordell banks about 18 miles west of Bodega bay feeding on anchovies,  expect these days to be closer to 12 hours on the water, we will often try to leave the dock very early to be able to fish before sunrise, as that is typically the most effective time using glow in the dark spreader bars.  Bluefin will may be quartered at the dock, but is it is highly recommended that the fish rest on packed ice for at least 18 hours to allow the meat to “set up”.   Please contact us for more information about our processing options.
